£20,000 CCTV van to fight antisocial behaviour for East Lothian
To fight against the antisocial behaviour a £20,000 CCTV van has taken to the roads.
The Van is equipped with a roof-mounted CCTV camera which can rotate 360 degrees to capture high quality images will surveillance East Lothain and gather important evidence to be used in the court of law against the culprit.
No fixed time and route of operation has been determined. The Police or the community will determine the activities of the van or weekly basis. This will unable the problem maker to keep guessing the when or where about of the van in advance.
The van is capable of accommodating five personals staffed by police and member of Lothian Council’s antisocial behaviour team.
The new initiative is a part of £267,000 programme to develop CCTV across East Lothian. East Lothian Council is looking forward to expand its fixed CCTV camera network to include Port Seton and Dunbar in the news future.
