Colchester: CCTV cameras for station parking shed

A customer, David Bibby of Chaucer Way, is calling for better security whose new bike worth £200 was stolen on the very first day he used it, from Colchester railway station.

London based IT consultant wants better security coverage for bike parking sheds at station by using CCTV Cameras.

As quoted in the article, he was quiet annoyed as after a long time he had sold his old bike & had brought a new one & it was stolen so easily.

National Express East Anglia, which is responsible for the security of the station, is working on improving the security & installing CCTV Cameras at the parking areas with the local authorities as well as the British Transport Police & other partners.
