A customer, David Bibby of Chaucer Way, is calling for better security whose new bike worth £200 was stolen on the very first day he used it, from Colchester railway station.

London based IT consultant wants better security coverage for bike parking sheds at station by using CCTV Cameras.

As quoted in the article, he was quiet annoyed as after a long time he had sold his old bike & had brought a new one & it was stolen so easily.

Councillors want to increase CCTV cameras in town

October 15, 2008 raymondbond007 Leave a comment

Morley Independent councillors feels that the number cameras installed in the town are not enough to extend surveillance in areas including Corporation Street and Queensway although most of the Queen Street is covered by the surveillance system.

A report showed that most of the arrests had been made because of the CCTV camera footage but quiet a few suspects were often unable to be captured because of the limitations in reach by the 5 CCTV cameras in operation.

CCTV camera reaches toilet

Found this interested article on ThePublican.com about CCTV been proposed to be placed in mens toilet to watch suspicious activities.

But hold on the CCTV will not watch the private activities, but instead any objectionable activities in the general washing area. The place in the article in with the security measure is The Weighing Machine, in Wavertree, Liverpool.

The pub feels it will be an embarrassing moment for the customers to be watched in toilet.
